Motivational speaking on fostering conscious resilience, and self-compassion, through self-parenting: helping professionals, community leaders, parents. Topics include: Being Your Own Hero, Bringing Out The Best When You Are At Your Worst.

Professional Consultation

Consultation with professionals on how to identify and build resilience while assessing and treating trauma, and addiction; development of innovative programs such as using humor for veterans impacted by PTSD and addiction.

Where do session take place?

Virtually.   Dr. O’Gorman offers teletherapy. Teletherapy means therapy can come to you.  Teletherapy brings you the support you need where you are, with no commute. 

What is the difference between psychotherapy and resiliency coaching?

Psychotherapy focuses more on identifying and changing troubling emotions and thoughts, using this process to grow and more fully appreciate your strengths. Psychotherapy is only available for New York state residents.

Resiliency coaching focuses on solving specific problems using identified strengths and strategies to develop new ones. 

Can I use my insurance benefits for psychotherapy?

Dr. O’Gorman is a licensed psychologist in New York State.  If your insurance plan has an out-of-network benefit, you can often be reimbursed a substantial percentage of service fees, after the deductible is satisfied—consult your insurance plan for specifics. An invoice will be provided so you may redeem your out-of-network benefits. 

How long are sessions?

Typically, sessions last 50 minutes.
